About me
As Founder, Principal & Managing Director of YES Real Estate, Sam Weerawarna provides the strategic and operational leadership behind the agency’s continued growth. His role extends beyond property sales to encompass the overall direction of the business, team development, service standards, commercial performance and the creation of new opportunities across the agency.
Recognised as a highly accomplished sellers’ agent, he is known for his decisive negotiation style and consistent record of strong results. Rather than relying on a standard formula, he develops a carefully considered strategy for each property based on the client’s circumstances, objectives and prevailing market conditions. Having built a successful career in sales well before entering real estate, he brings extensive experience in understanding people, positioning value and negotiating with purpose. Property marketing remains one of his defining strengths, with every campaign designed to generate attention, create competition and achieve the best possible outcome.
His leadership has also been instrumental in expanding the agency’s reach, strengthening professional relationships and identifying opportunities for sustainable growth. A sophisticated understanding of modern marketing and social media enables YES Real Estate to connect with a broad audience while keeping the agency and its clients’ properties highly visible in an increasingly competitive marketplace.
An experienced communicator, he has worked across television, radio, digital platforms and other forms of media, and has emceed numerous events. Beyond real estate, he is widely recognised for his community involvement and for organising and supporting a range of community and business events. As an office bearer of the Australia Sri Lanka Business Forum, he contributes to initiatives that connect entrepreneurs, encourage collaboration and strengthen commercial relationships between the two countries.
